So, the boy can gyrate his slim body on national television... I'll campaign for him to win an Oscar if he pulls a Robert DeNiro and gains 40-60 pounds for a role. (Already handsome, time to try cute and pudgy.)

If I remember correctly, he said he lost about 20 lbs. to play the role of Peter Allen. He looked mighty fine as Wolverine and Van Helsing!

For some reason, though I find him very talented, I just don't find him sexy at all. I think he's very handsome and sweet and funny and all of that - but just not sexy to me.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I like him a little bulkier as he was when he was Wolverine, or in Swordfish. I find him SEXY

I find him more then sexy.
Now i need to see his show.
I was very jealous of Sarah Jessica Parker. He now ties as best looking man on Broadway with Craig Bierko. Updated On: 6/7/04 at 10:35 AM

Hugh Jackman is much hotter than Craig, and I really like Craig alot. He is looking very rough these days though. Hugh in the leopard outfit and then in his tux........I was in heaven and have rewound my tape several times to stare. I also love how in love he and his wife are, that is so awesome to see. Same for Idina and Taye.

Craig looks bad in pictures but if you saw him in person he does not look rough. I saw him this past year in "Fired" and he looked drop dead gorgeous.
I also sat one row ahead of Hugh Jackman at the Drama Desk Awards.
He really is very attractive. I did not have the nerve to say hello.

Am I the ONLY one in New York who thinks Hugh is overrated and overhyped?

He's OK as an actor and does a decent job but you'd think, to listen to the chatter on this board and ATC, that he was Barrymore, Gielgud, Fabio, Valentino and Viagra rolled up in one

Check out my icon. This is how I like Hugh's body.
He is definitely not overrated Sam. I'm thinking of the movie I Am Sam haha.

Nice icon... would be nicer would love handles!

I've seen John Barrymore in some films from the early 1930s. He reminded me of Gene Wilder. As Evelyn Nesbit once said: If the girls swooned over Barrymore in midlife, then they should have seen him when he was dating her (and hot, judging by pictures).

Sam, did you see Boy from Oz?

I haven't seen a single Jackman film so I have no stake movie-stardom. But his performance in BFO is simply outstanding. His "sexiness" (as seen on TV) was as Peter Allen, not as Hugh Jackman. The fact that he has the natural ability (mental, emotional and physical) to move and tease like that does say something about him, but I think he is much more down to earth. He doesn't seem to be one to put "sexiness" on his resume.

I absolutely think he deserves the Tony for his Peter Allen, even though my heart was with another nominee. Any other year....

Keep in mind this crew will, and does, drool over half the men in New York, from ensemble to lead to stage manager to composer! LOL!

Go see KATE AND LEOPOLD, XMEN, SWORDFISH, SOMEONE LIKES YOU, and the stage musical OKLAHOMA! ( all available on DVD) - very different characterizations for Hugh, but still the same sex appeal re: Hugh Jackman's Sex Appeal - sorry, don't get it -- uh, uh

For a good dramatic movie, his first movie made in Australia, ERSKINEVILLE KINGS ( available on Region 4), gives you an early insight on his versatility as an actor.

Btw - he had to gain more weight and muscles for XMEN 2 - but had to lose weight ( probably lost more than he wanted to due to the demands of the show) for The Boy From Oz.

Hugh is just plain charismatic and gracious. It's hard to dislike him.

Thanks for trying Hot Ticket, but he still doesn't do it for me. Beefcake is beefake and lots of actors can buff up and look great. I like a bit more substance and then there is that certainly undefinable charisma and sparkle that makes someone sexy.

To me, he just doesn't have it. I know someone's sex appeal is purely subjective so I'm not putting you down...guess what, I'll even do you a favor? I won't compete for his attention...you can have him all to yourself!

I am glad that a celeb with his current stature is supporting theatre the way he does. Cheers to the boys and girls who keep coming back to play onstage.

Hunter Foster?
He is cute.
Hugh Jackman is very sexy....

but if we could just Collin Ferrell to get on a broadway stage. THEN I would be happy.

I don't dislike Hugh...I just don't think he's sexy....

However to borrow a line from a funny friend..."If he promised it would be just this one time, I wouldn't kick him out of my bed"! re: Hugh Jackman's Sex Appeal - sorry, don't get it -- uh, uh LOL!

Just a note:
I was not attracted to Hugh at all until the Tony's THIS year (not even last year's). During that show, he swept up my heart with that smile and those pelvic thrusts...ha ha. He is a cutie.

Hugh Jackman is the sexiest thing I've ever seen on a Broadway stage period.
