sad, he will be remembered, he definitely left his mark with some great work.
With David Brinkley and Gregory Peck passing away late last week, I was wondering who would be "THIRD". The famous always seem to pass on in three's.
Rest in Peace, Hume!
Check out the following link about Hume Cronyn and his wife, Jessica Tandy. I especially like the photo of them circa: 1940 range.

I'm very sorry to hear this.
Alvin, so you've heard that old saying or whatever you call it about things going in 3's too? I thought my Mom and I were the only 2 who said that.

Last Thursday when Brinkley and Peck passed on my immediate reaction was , who will the 3rd to go be. It is strange how it seems to work!

I am stil not over Gregory Peck and now Hume. What a sad week. For all of you that only know Mr. Cronyn's work from COCOON he was a really great, and I believe, one of the most under-rated actors.
Why do I feel sooo old, today?

Gee, if you, my Mom and I all know that--that makes, gulp, 3!

Try to catch the old Hitchcock movie Lifeboat. Mr. Cronyn is quite good (as usual) in it. And you get the added pleasure of T. Bankhead.
How sad! He and Jessica Tandy were such a class act.
Some little know facts about Hume, he was Canadian. Father was an Ontario Politician . Mother was a Labatt of the brewing co fame. He originally trained for law. Its not wher you start it's where you finish that counts!
