Just thought I'd peek in here to find the latest news on my former classmate, Hunter Foster. WOW, what a pleasant surprise that he has made such an impression on the Broadway community. I have one of the first recordings he ever did, in chorus class, in 1986 a song he wrote and had played on our local radio station, "I've Got My Truck." Man, he certainly has gone on to bigger and better...I'm SO proud of him. He graduated a year before me from Evans High School in Evans, GA.

Hunter is my favorite performer on broadway. I saw him in Grease Urinetown LSOH which I thougth he was absoluty amazing in The Best Seymour. I am so excited to see him in Mel Brooks The Producers playing Leo Bloom. Hunter Foster is truly amazing broadway performer
Hunter Foster is great. He's got to be my favorite actor on Broadway. I feel he's a bit underrated though (regardless of the Tony nom).
Why was the only Little Shop nomination in Best Actor? Why wasn't it nominated for anything else?
I loved Hunter in "Urinetown" and I can't wait to see him in "The Producers".
I think LSOH should have been nominated for best revival and some technical awards. It deserved more than best actor! And Douglas Sills should have been nominated for best featured actor.
Anyway, back on topic: Hunter Foster is just amazing. I loved his performance in LSOH! He was so funny, his timing was perfect, and he made me always want to watch him. He's such a great actor.

It's so surreal for me to see him on TV and see his name plastered everywhere. I remember seeing him play Danny Zuko in Grease on a local theatre stage. His sister, Sutton (from Thoroughly Modern Millie originally) actually played the obnoxious cherleader role, Patty Simcox. It was hilarious to see her so young playing that role and trying to flirt with her brother in his LOL.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to visit NY and see him on Broadway but I am glad to hear from everyone here how amazing he still is.
Aw, I heart Hunter. Great actor, nice guy, great voice. Can't wait to see him in The Producers!

I'm so sad that I couldn't see him in LSOH. I heard he was amazing. You guys don't think too diferently, I suppose. I just recently got into Broadway, via close friends, and it was too late for me to see him because he obviously left. I will however, beg my parents to take me to see the Producers.
I love Hunter Foster and, though I and many others saw it coming, am disappointed that he did not win Best Actor; he certainly deserved it. I fell in love with him when I saw him in Little Shop of Horrors on vacation and have been a huge fan ever since. He is truly talented, has a great sense of humor and is...very, very cute! Little Shop definitely deserved to be nominated for Best Revival (perhaps it could have taken the not-so-scintillating "Wonderful Town's" place!). I can't believe that Hunter actually performed LSOH on Sunday. I knew that June 6 was supposed to be his last day as Seymour, but I did't think that he was going to perform on the day of the Tony's. Although he didn't win, I am thrilled that he was recognized for a superb job. All right, maybe I'm a bit biased because I am in love with him (oh to be Jennifer Cody)...oh well. I wish I could see Hunter in "The Producers" and if I had the money to fly to New York on June 15 just for that, I would. Lol. Yay Hunter!
The show, Bonnie and clyde, that Hunter is writing with Rick Crom is quite good. I'm excited to see how far it goes.
I won't be suprised if he doesn't have a Tony in his hand in the next few years. He was fantastic in Urinetown and LSOH..I'm sure he will be amazing in The Prouducers as well.
I enjoyed Hunter's performance in LSOH, but thought that he did a truly outstanding job as Bobby Strong in "Urinetown". I especially loved his gospel preacher-like rendition of "Run, Freedom, Run". Sparks were flying at Henry Miller's Theatre!
"Run, Freedom, Run" is my favorite song in Urinetown! I had no idea just HOW good a singer Hunter was until I heard that song.
It should have been nominated for more.. I mean, hello.. did they not see the plant come into the audience and eating people??
The entire show was phenomenal. I really thought that they had the nomination in the bag.
Before I knew that Hunter Foster was a performer, I met him at a performance of The Summer of '42 out here on the west coast. Hunter is the book writer. I really enjoyed that show and wondered if anyone here had seen it when it was playing in NYC.
The reviews for Summer of '42 were awesome. I have high hopes for Fearless and Bonnie and Clyde. Was he nice when you met him?
Will they ever have another production of Summer of '42? I really wish I could've seen it!
Fans like him a lot more than the critics do. Producers like him now to because of that. No pun intended.
