I havent sang for a LONG LONG TIME, I gave up on musical theater a lifetime ago, but this song still is on my ipod and still rings in my mind all the time. It is one of the most beautiful songs ever written and I WANT IT, but I have no idea where to find the sheet music. Can anyone help me with that?

I love Norm Lewis' version on Infinite Joy. I think I prefer it to Carolee's, though I preferred her take on Curtis Taylor Jr in the less well known all-white all-female concert production of Dreamgirls - her When I First Saw you was phenomenal. Also, Patti Lupone's version of Fake Your Way To The Top was like being at a revival, y'all! SAVE ME JESUS!

The song you are refering to is called Anytime and according to the liner notes in the Infinite Joy album it was cut from A New Brain. You can even hear the familiar melodic theme used throughout the show.

the elegies songbook just came out.. i was at colony today and they had it, which includes the sheet music to "Anytime" :)
