"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

--Chicago (the first show I ever knew all the lyrics to)
--The Phantom of the Opera (the reason I got into musicals, gotta love it!)
--Sunset Blvd. (favorite Webber score and a favorite classic film)
--Carrie (I have a soft spot for 80's camp)
--Gone With the Wind (1972 recording has some nice moments; the whole thing is better than the bits I heard from the recent version)
That's all I can think of right now.

Wicked. It was my first musical on Broadway. It has a special place in my heart for that.
I want to apologize for some offensive messages posted on this board under my name. The night 0f 12-15-08 I did not have internet access, and someone had used my name to post something offensive. My avatar was also changed. I dont' know what else was posted, or if anyone recieved bad PMs, but I want to apologize for that. I've changed my password, and even though I was not the one posting these messages it still needed to be corrected.

I wouldn't say "love," per se, but Lennon and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I liked them and I can't help it.
I love Aida so, so much, but it's not an "I don't care what you say!" thing. I love it and I'm not ashamed.
A work of art is an invitation to love.

Is it really embarrassing or shameful to admit to liking Aida or Wicked or Rent when over half the people on this thread have said they love it?

Yes! I'm so glad someone else confessed to loving Daphne Rubin-Vega in Les Miz. I'm delighted that I'm not alone.
I can't lie. I also loved Titanic. And I will miss Rent when it's gone.

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
