I Got My ASSASSINS CD today. And I am NOT pleased

ONLY ONE PICTURE OF MARC KUDISCH????

I want to know who was in charge of this CD. I want to know RIGHT now!

All joking aside how is the CD itself
David walked into the valley With a stone clutched in his hand He was only a boy But he knew someone must take a stand There will always be a valley Always mountains one must scale There will always be perilous waters Which someone must sail -Into the Fire Scarlet Pimpernel

Is it in stores as well, or just available to those who preordered??

Love it!! Picked mine up at Colony on Saturday night. So happy!
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

Joking? Anyone who knows me knows me knows I was NOT joking.

But the CD? It's "eh". Someone said it right before. It's very "in your face" which takes away from what was on the stage. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

And I got mine at Best Buy.

I've never seen Assassins, but I would love to get a cast recording. Should I go for the original recording or the revival?? (I'm too poor for both!)

It would be very nice if they released it, but it won't happen. You can never have enough in my opinion.

Are there enough pictures of ANY of the cast?
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

Am I in the minority here...does anyone else think the new cast was remarkable LESS memorable than the one on the original? Granted I'm talking only about the cd...and i do have some residual bitter as I had tickets for the Friday after it closed...but still... The Ballad of Booth lacks the diginity and heartbreak of the Victor Garber version...the new one is just sorta overblown...and Neil Patrick Harris...not such a good singer really...a fine one...completely servicable...and he has some nice embelishes...but shouldn't a role called THE BALLADEER be played by someone who can REALLY hit ballads out of the park? Unworthy of Your Love...is Annie Golden really replaceable? Though Mary Catherine Garrison IS quite good Alexander Gemignani is not...and the song doesn't seem to have the raw power of the original...James Barbour seems to slip in and out of his accent...Jeffrey Kuhn is quite remarkable however...Ballad of Guiteau...in my opinion is the only one that makes an impression over the original(not better mind you...just...different enough to be memorable on it's own). The little bit of white gospel music in Dennis O'Hare is a nice touch...speaking of gospel...the arrangments are VEDY VEDY good...and I think MUCH MUCH more flavorful than the first time around...the church organ that appears in certain songs is KILLER and I love it lots... um...so there it is I guess...am I an idiot (all together YES)...anybody else feel this way...or... am I WAY off base...
