After watching Reffer MAdness the other day I feel in love with Amy Spanger!!! She was Amazing and has an awsome voice!!! I thought she was perfect for the role and was very funny!! I hope she is back on broadwau soon!!!! :)

Amy is amazing, I adore her so much. So glad others are loving her too! Can't wait to see Reefer Madness with her. I love her voice so much, TTB and KMK are two cast recordings I listen to all the time, just for Amy (ok ok TTB for Raul too...)

She'll be back on Broadway soon enough. She's been offered the role of Holly in the upcoming Broadway staging of "The Wedding Singer."

FOAnatic, are you serious? I know she workshopped it, but if she were to actually get the part I would have to make sure to get up to NYC while she's in it. She's one of my favorite broadway actresses.

Well, I'm simply putting two and two together.

The Playbill EPA Casting Call for the show said that all of the roles, except for Julia, had been offered to the Equity actors who had played them in the stage readings. They were seeking an actress for Julia and then understudies for the rest of the parts.

Since Amy played Holly in the readings and workshops and the listing said that the role had been offered to the actress who played them during those readings/workshops...I can only assume it's been offered to her.

Now...I'm sure she's been offered it. But, the question is: Has she accepted? I'm assuming yes because, had she not, they would be seeking someone to play the part and not understudy it.

Holly has 2 really great songs in the upcoming musical... the show is very funny, a lot of dialogue is taken straight from the movie, and they've kept in two songs... "I Wanna Grow Old With You" and the song Robbie sings to Julia after he breaks up with Linda. The funniest role by FAR is definitely Rosie, the little old lady... she has the two funniest songs in the show and will definitely be the real crowd pleaser I think.
