Diana will pull it off no doubt, I just don't know if they can make the show better or not. I Love Melba, so I will be thrilled to see her as Paradice, and the show really is about the music anyway. The book isn't very strong at all, so the music is what carries it.

You also have to be believable to play the part. She struggles in Brooklyn to make a fortune. It cant be a silly interpretation, even if the person can belt. Belting is the least of her problems because she has to discover the role and go deep.

I just think Diana Degarmo ,Melba Moore will step up to the plate and give us a wonderful experience. If the book has been fixed it will be a bonus. The music is awesome.

" Latest Update: Hey everyone! We were having some problems with the site this week, therefor the Brooklyn tour street team and the songs section both will open early next week. The Brooklyn cast is complete! Julie Reiber joined the cast and will be playing Faith. Right now, it looks like there are going to be 2 tours, where the first one is a 7-week tour with Diana DeGarmo, and the second much longer. "I think it's weird that Diana is playing the part only because Eden is so freaking tall. It will be weird to see someone shorter in the role, but I have no doubt she's got the singing chops for the role. Can't wait to see it in ATL."

They look about the same height to me. At this point it is unknown if Diana will play Brooklyn as a blond.

Friday night Diana had a concert at the Rialto Center for the Performing Arts and she did for the first time "Once upon a Time" from Brooklyn.It blew everybody away a 3 monute standing ovation with many in the audience crying from the emotion. If this is any indication all I can say is I got to see her in Brooklyn. Wow.What a set of pipes.

I'm really excited about her playing the role. I absolutely loved her in Hairspray and i'm really glad everything has worked out so well for her!
