I was at THE DOWNTOWN PLAYS tonight here at school and it was so great....again! I went to the dress rehearsal and that was fun, but I wanted to go tonight to see Molly Shannon on her first night. She took over for J. Smith Cameron in "True To You", playing a secretary to a man accused of 27 counts of fraud. After the show, I was waiting downstairs for the crowd to leave so I could get back up to my room and she was on her way out the door. I went over to her and told her how great I thought she was, etc. She was soooo sweet and gracious. She signed my playbill personally to me and was so incredibly nice!
Just wanted to share......
she is one of my FAVORITES. VERY GENUINE PERSON. She was on Scrubs tonight.

And was great on it, too.
Does anyone agree that Scrubs is the most underrated show in television? When will John C. McGinley get his well-deserved Emmy !?!?!?
Molly Shannon is brilliant. And I have a feeling that we've only seen the tip of the iceburg.
Molly Shannon is one of my most favorite people on the planet... funny story, a few years back, I went as Mary Katherine Galleghar from SUPERSTAR for halloween and I was in school and the head of the school comes running in and was like "MOLLY SHANNON IS IN STARBUCKS!!!!!" but, i was in dance class minus my costume so I didnt get to meet her then lol. But i eventually did meet her and she is the sweetest person ever and I highly miss her in SNL.. "YOURREEEEEEEEEEEEE HORRIBLEEEEEEEE YOURRRREEEEEEEEEEE HORRIBLEEEEEEEEEEE" :::falls back on chairs:::

She was great on SCRUBS.
I think the fact that FRASIER is no longer on the air frees up the David Hyde-Pierce slot for John C. McGinley, who is truly brilliant. And EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND ends this season, freeing up more slots in 2006!
I'd like to see Kelsey Grammer's automatic Best Actor nomination slot go to Jason Bateman, who does a great job inj the unrewarding role of "straight man" surrounded by the lunacy of ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT.
All those who say the sit-com is dead clearly aren't watching SCRUBS or ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT. Molly was great on the episode last night. It confirmed my feeling that she should be Gooch in the MAME revival.
Absolutely. The woman was BORN to play Gooch.
I saw her on Scrubs last night and I was blown away. She was funny and all, but near the end of the episode she had to do a really touching scene and cry. She was amazing! I was very impressed. I didn't know she was a dramatic actress also.
She is so nice. I got to film a scene with her in Wet Hot American Summer.
