Posted: 1/7/07 at 1:58amWell it's the last song in the show and is kind of combined with Goodbye Until Tomorrow where Cathy is singing about their first date and Jamie is singing about him leaving. Do you mean the sheet music or the audio for the song?

You can get the sheet music on Amazon (search the show) and the song is the second to the last in the musical...it regards the lead male's mindset as he decides to leave his wife.
Beautiful song, but heart breaking. GL.

Actually, that song is not in the published vocal selections book. The only way to get the music LEGALLY is to pay the royalties and produce the show. Or you could find someone who has done the show and xeroxed the score (which is ilegal).
Jason Robert Brown insisted that three of the songs be left out of the vocal selections, so people couldn't do bootleg productions of the show.

Out of curiosity, which other two songs are ommitted?
"Goodbye Until Tomorrow" combined with "I Could Never Rescue You" is amazing. JRB is IMO so good at contrasts; that's partially why Parade is so brilliant, and he uses it to full effect in L5Y.

Vocal selections lacks 'See I'm Smiling', 'A Miracle Would Happen' (although 'When You Come Home To Me' is included), 'Climbing Uphill', and 'I Could Never Rescue You' (although 'Goodbye Until Tomorrow' is there). :3

Posted: 1/7/07 at 5:26pmI think it's interesting they chose not to include Climbing Uphill. Definitely one of the funniest songs. And it makes me sad that See I'm Smiling isn't in there.

Posted: 1/7/07 at 5:46pmI'm pretty sure "See, I'm Smiling" is there... If not, is in included in The Singer's Musical Anthology Volume 4 for Mezzos.I'm not sure where you can find a copy of "I Could Never Rescue You" but maybe you can find it somewhere online...

Posted: 1/7/07 at 5:51pmIs it on the recording? I thought this song was omitted from the show or something.
