What shows do you think need to be on Broadway?
They can be shows that play or played in London or regional theatre but have never come to Broadway, movie musicals that could be adapted to the Broadway stage, or revivals.
Let's help come up with ideas to fill those empty theatres before the producers start getting their ideas from the "Your Worst Musical Ideas" thread.
Here are some of mine:
"The Good Old Bad Old Days" (Newley and Bricusse, had a nice run in London but never followed "Stop the World" and "Greasepaint" to Broadway. Very fun score.)
"The Happiest Millionaire" (a Disney 1960s movei musical with Fred MacMurray, Tommy Steele, and Leslie Anne Warren that chronicles the daffy Biddle family)
"The Roar of the Greasepaint, The Smell of the Crowd" (as discussed on another thread. What can I say? I'm a Newley/Bricusse fan.)
"Stop the World -- I Want to Get Off" (see above)
"Carnival" (a nice little show with a terrific score -- I had hoped that the Kennedy Center's revival of it would hit Broadway, but alas, it was not to be.)
"Harmony" (the Manilow-Sussman musical about a Jewish singing group in Germany.)
"The Visit" (Kander and Ebb at their usual dark standard, but well scored and morbidly interesting.)
What are your picks?

From Off-Broadway:
"Godspell"
"Your Own Thing"
"Nunsense"
And of course the longest-running show in New York theatre history, "The Fantasticks." (which was entirely Off-Bradway.)
Would these be considered revivals if they came to Broadway?

Little Shop was considered a revival.
I want to see "Hocus Pocus" on Broadway.
Christine Ebersole as Winifred
Laura Benanti as Sarah
Mary Testa as Mary.

What is the "Eugiune O'Neal" theatre? I only know the "Eugene O' Neill".
But that's not set in stone.

I like the way Bwayfan9 thinks. UNICORN: THE MUSICAL. Starring Cheyenne Jackson, Sierra Boggess, and other shiny attractive people who can roller skate on Heelie-Hooves. It will have a score entirely comprised of Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers songs. Clearly, all of the Disney shows are not enough to bring in young audiences.
I think Les Miserables would still be running today if it featured at least one unicorn.
