Is there a way to get back to the old one? I've been putting up with it for a week or two but it's just annoying.

On the old search engine, you could quickly navigate to the last page of results and go page by page forward. And there were often more than one page of results (I often search with the new search engine and when I click next page it says there is no results or something - can't remember exactly).

You could also gauge the popularity of something by the number of pages of results, but here you have no idea how many 'results' there are.

ANd how ever will I be able to find ill-informed comments by members that in hindsight look ridiculous!??!

That's been happening to me, too, where it only shows one page. When you click to the next one, it says there are no more, even in cases where I know there are. I was hoping it was just a glitch.

This reminds me that I've also been meaning to ask Rob/Craig what ever became of the bookmark feature, and if there's any way to access those from our accounts? I had a lot of stuff bookmarked that I'd like to somehow retrieve, and then I can bookmark them in my browser.

Which search engine are you having a problem with? The main one or the message board one? Just tested both and they seem to work here, but happy to send our techs onto it if there's a problem I'm not aware of....

https://www.broadwayworld.com/bookmarks.cfm is our old bookmarks system.

Wonderful, thanks! I could not find it anywhere, but that was easy.

The message board search function is the one that's been acting up for me.

You're welcome! Didn't think anyone was still using that...

Can you give me via here or PM the specifics of what you're filling in each field so I can have someone duplicate and fix?

I was looking for some old stuff a while ago and it occurred to me that I had put them in there way back when.

I don't remember what I was searching for unfortunately but maybe qolbinau does.

Oh I see the main search at the top right is still the old-style search (it disappeared from the left sidebar IIRC, so I only found the 'search' button at the top of the forum page - I guess maybe it's always been there?)

So I'll just go back to using the main one. Thanks for the heads up :).

It is a bit of a pain, but if you want to see older search results, just have a look at when the oldest result showing is from (i.e. the one at the bottom of the page), and re-do the search with that as the "Optional End Date".
Is there a way to have the results shown by thread and not by individual posts? It's so stupid to only show posts and not threads. Then you get stuck with having to wade through many (hundreds if it was a long thread) of results unrelated to what you may actually be looking for.

The old Search feature used to have an option you could click on that said "Show results by thread."

I completely agree with Cape. It's really annoying to see all the posts in a thread.

I use google more often than BWW's internal search feature.
