I realize that this is the age where some expect instant gratification, but having to wait more than 24 hours for officially authorized photographs to be released is really not unusual.
I'm actually more shocked by all the flash photography at the end moments of Wicked than anything else. Of couse, curtain calls are open season for pics, IMO, but the show proper, especially during the most touching end moments, shouldn't have been ruined by blinding flashes. There were people there who may not have realized that it was Cheno, Norbs and Joel's last show, seeing the show for the first time, and having two and half hours of great entertainment ending with frightening distraction. I personally was worried about the cast, who had to find their marks, get hooked up into the bubble, jump around scenery and holes in the ground, while being blinded by flashes.
Of course it's a special evening, but courtesy to the actors and fellow audience members should've been adhered to.

That and it's incredibly dangerous! It's hard enough to see with all those lights on you, but with the camera flashes!
I was at the Assassins closing - I don't remember seeing any photographers.
I am surprised that there has only been about one thread on the closing - it was very emotional. The actors really gave it their all - at the curtain call Mario Cantone was literally shaking....Jeffrey Kuhn's eyes welled up with tears the entire show.
I was close enough to Sondheim to see a few reactions - it was an experience I won't soon forget!
I love the first pic where Cheno leaped onto Idina and is sucking the blood out of her neck.
Broadway.com has Wicked pictures from 7/18. I enjoyed them. You sort of have to dig to find them. I have faith you can do it though. Cheno is worth it!
