...for those of you not familiar with my job, I type 8 to 10 hours a night for the post office and can listen to music the whole time. I have been listening to what is familiar to me, and some new stuff, however...I could use some new ideas.
Light in the Piazza is not working AT ALL, I need to stay awake at work.
PLEASE give me some ideas; clever music, talent and a story would be wonderful. I trust you guys.
*there, I fixed the subject title*

If your office is connected to the internet...Find a musical/showtunes internet radio station online.
1. Mix tunes from different shows.
2. Random songs without your CD on repeat.
3. You would probably discover good stuff you never heard before and may encourage you to find out more about a particular show. It's a nice feeling too.
I do it everyonce in a while when the same songs get tired.
A selection of random songs is always good, but I currently find Avenue Q and the new revival of Sweet Charity good for working to - especially Rich Man's Frug, If My Friends Could See Me Now, Big Spender, Rhythm Of Life, I'm A Brass Band and There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This. Avenue Q is just great to keep you amused.

Zombie Prom
Cast Recording is the proper term to use. Soundtracks are for film and tv.

I agree with the person who said Lucky Stiff. One of the most entertaining recordings out there.
I stand corrected on the soundtrack thing, I knew that of course, but it was 5 something in the morning and I had just gotten off work...zombie mode.
Thanks everyone for the great ideas, I appreciate it!

Company is nice and loud with a good (non)story
I want to thank everyone again for the ideas. I am on a budget, and obviously don't live in NY. I'm not oblivious to theatre, but am not as close to it as you all are. I buy what sounds interesting. I listened to Avenue Q tonight and loved it. I bought Spamalot too today, and I'm looking forward to it, as I go back to work on Friday, (Wed and Thu off, ick).
I do not get internet radio access btw, but thanks for the suggestion. On Saturdays there is a local station that plays broadway music and that's cool. As time goes by, feel free to let me know somehow that a new OBC *RECORDING* is out that is entertaining and will keep me awake, I will be eternally grateful.
I will be in NY late next month, not that anyone cares necessarily, but it will be my first time there. I will post more closer to that time, but if any nice people want to meet me, my oldest kiddo and a friend of mine, we will be there. Let me know.
