Posted: 5/14/08 at 7:49pmThree months ago I helped a friend buy 6 tickets to Wicked online for 5/31. She hasn't received them yet and we are getting worried. We are so stupid because we don't remember the website we got them from. She contacted her bank and was told it was from google,com/ch CAGOOGLE*Event Tickets but they have no phone number. We can't find the website from this. We have a transaction number and know the rows the seats are in that's all. Are we screwed? Any suggestions! We are so stupid!!

Perhaps. You can try going to the theatre, showing the credit card and giving the name and they may be able to find it. It might be that you haven't received them because you opted for "Will Call" and chose not to have you mail the tickets.
Or do you know for sure they were supposed to mail them?

Posted: 5/14/08 at 7:57pmDid you not get an email confirmation?? I think every transaction I've ever done online provides me with an email receipt of it.

Posted: 5/14/08 at 7:58pmIt sounds like this person bought the tickets from a broker website and not from Ticketmaster.

My Mom and I bought Wicked tickets and we didn't get them for a long time and it was like a week before and we were really worried so she called her bank or something and they said that our tickets aren't available. It was rally confusing. We called the box office and asked about our options, they said we can do the cancelation line. We did and got two great seats.
I got them from Broadway.com, huge mistake!

Posted: 5/15/08 at 6:07amThey were different prices because we couldn't get all 6 together. The total was $768 with fees bringing it to about $850. Ugh!

Posted: 5/15/08 at 6:51amAgain, you got no email confirmation? Even when I did deal with brokers before I knew what a rip off they were they sent an email confirmation.

It sounds like you bought tickets from a brooker. Not a smart thing to do.
You take a HUGE risk and pay sometimes double that of a full price ticket on ticketmaster. The risk is of course you don't know if your either going to get your tickets in the first place or even if the tickets are real.

WICKED tickets are always involved in fraud cases and Ticketmaster recommends only buying from them or the box office. There are too many counterfeit tickets for WICKED. It is sad because many families have gotten burned.
Not to blame you, but the fact that you have little to no information written down about even the website from where you purchased the tickets, a phone number or an email is negligent. You would have recourse with the Attorney General if you remembered the business you bought them from.
I hope the tickets turn up. I think it is on you now to do some serious investigating. Call the box office, you never know. I wish you luck. The tickets may be out there still-maybe there is not a scam but an error.
I hope it wll works out.

Posted: 5/15/08 at 12:26pmYour credit card company should be able to tell you exactly where the charge came from and provide contact information. I have had this happen a couple of times, with online purchases and not had any trouble. Don't just rely on what the statement says. I also recommend phoning the box office. It is my understanding that ticket sales agencies typically provide a list of names of customers who purchased the seats. You might try making these calls before you go, so if you have to elevate the request to someone higher up you can. Good luck!
