I saw Wedding Singer!

I rushed Wedding Singer yesterday. People started lining up approximately 10:45-11 am. I got front row dead center...right under the microphone. The seats are partial view in the front row center (when I saw Sweet Charity front row side I don't remember the view being that partial) because you have to look up and don't see their feet unless they come to the front, and you can't see actions close to the stage floor, like when Robbie is climbing onto the bed. Overall, worth the $26.25. I'm actually at work now, so I'll edit this post later.

So jealous! It looked like so much fun last night at the Tonys.

The show is a series of bad SNL skits strung together. The actors are wonderful but the show is just GOD-awful.

re: I saw Wedding Singer!

Is the show as high energy as their performance on the Tonys last night? I sort of wrote it off as the Adam Sandler musical, but there's no denying that they had one of the best performances on the show last night. If the whole thing is that energetic and fun it's probably worth my $26.25. Or was "It's Your Wedding Day" the only good number?

The whole show is like that.

Don't forget about Amy Spanger, though!

I actually think it's better at the theater. But their performance was great last night. You should get/listen to the CD and see if you like it. The music is really good and has a lot of energy.

re: I saw Wedding Singer!

I don't think "It's your wedding day" is the best song of the show. The show is great from beginning to end.

re: I saw Wedding Singer!

I think it deserved to win a lot of Tonys it didn't win including best supporting actress in a musical for Amy Spanger. But i am just thankful it got 5 nominations including Best Musical and Best Actor. Stephen is just so good and also such a good person, he is lovely.

I loved the performance last night, but I sort of wish they'd done a different song. I was hoping they would do "Casualty of Love", but I figured they wouldn't. They'd probably get complaints about the line "love's a trick, love's a trap, love's a hot chick with the clap," unfortunately. *sigh* I wish I could see the show, it looks amazing.

re: I saw Wedding Singer!

I think they should have done a medley of "wedding day", "right in front of your eyes", "pop!" and "saturday night in the city" ...hehe.

re: I saw Wedding Singer!

It would be a waste of time and talent, only he was nominated.

That would've rocked, too, muscle23ftl! Oh, the dumpster song would've been great also! Well, not really. Radio City is probably too big for it to have played well. Still, I'm greedy and I want to see it! : )
