OMG! My two favorite things in the world (Broadway and Idol) might be merging??? AHHH! Could anyone tell me more? I heard Off-Broadway previews start in July?
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
hehe... seems "Idol" is taken for a ride... are you sure you want to see this? lol
"What book of rules says that theatre exists only within some ugly buildings crowded into one square-mile of New York City? Wherever there's magic and make-believe and an audience, there's theatre..."
I hate the show, however, I can possibly imagine a pretty good, creative book writer and an ingenious "twist" to the characters could possibly make for a quite satirical, snarky night of theater! The judges, an allegory for ------what? The singers, the greek chorus commenting on the action, the fallen hero, blah, blah, blah.... Costumes by Bob Mackie Lighting by peggy eisenhower Sets by tony walton he offstage voice of: The BlACK tee SHIRT devil: PLAYED BY: mRchuck cooper pAULA PLAYED BY : bOB cOLLACELLO rANDY PLAYED BY tRIUMPH THE INSULT COMIC dAWG!?
It really has nothing to do with AI the show. It is more about a group of Clay Aiken fans.

I saw the show up here... and it's really nothing to do with AI. It's about a group of his fans in Stubenville, Ohio who hear about a tour for Clay coming through their town, and try and audition for the opening act... and through trying to make the act... they start to rethink Idol worship, and truly find who they are...
