INTO THE WOODS Oscar Campaign?

I am predicting Ethan for BOYHOOD. I thought he was the best thing about the film. He elevated the material when it was in serious need to be elevated. He Completely outshined Arquette.

Auggie, Have you seen FOXCATCHER yet? Mark Ruffalo and Steve Carell are giving out of this world performances in that film.

BOYHOOD was a really cool film. I think the script was really something and it will definitely be rewarded. I liked Ethan Hawke and I think it is totally possible for him to make it in there and get a second acting nomination. Patricia Arquette was lovely and she is the clear frontrunner right now. I personally don't agree with all of the hype but I have yet to see more performances to gauge if that hype is so well deserved or not.

I just saw WHIPLASH with JK Simmons and he is fantastic. All the stuff that category was made for. I believe at this point(things can drastically change in these next couple of weeks) he is the frontrunner for Supporting Actor.

I have a feeling SELMA is going to come out and really be something though. I feel like it will steal a lot of thunder.
