I'm not sure how I feel about the ever-closing gap between theater release and DVD release, but I do know I can't wait for this DVD!

And I know I'll get to see Rent at least ONCE more, hopefully... we have two second-run movie houses within 10 minutes of my house and I'm assuming since they get everything else, they'll get Rent. *knocks on wood*

When movies were released only on vhs it would take 6-8 months from the opening date in the theatre to be released on video and the retail price was anywhere from $90-110 each. But after seeing the kind of numbers they got from a $16 dvd it just made sense to get them out as soon as possible.
