Yes, that was a big rumor that some people at the pantages even believed.

That would be cool.. but Im seeing it in Hartford, not Boston.. even though I live in MA.

It won't be greenbean...remember, she hates theatre and doesn't want to do it anymore.

I think Idina or Kristin in LA is not likely, but not completely off the wall either. Marissa Jaret Winokur revived her role in Hairspray (Matt did too until he got another part). Patti LaBelle and Wayne Brady (until he was placed on vocal rest) did Chicago.

Your friend probably saw "Original Wicked Cast Member Joins Tour", or heard about the headline. It was then, probably, assumed that it was Ms. Menzel who was joining the tour, while it is in actuality Ms. Carole Shelly.

Has it been announced officially that Stephanie won't be doing the tour in Boston, because i thought her contract was up in the middle of Boston's run. Who knows, she could very well extend her contract

No I'm pretty sure her contract is up in March, she signed a 1 year I thought. Which would mean that after Pittsburgh, she would leave, because she started at the beginning of March 2005.

So she won't be in Atlanta either, huh? Sweet. Her voice just doesn't do it for me. I can't wait to see who the replacement is though.

As much as I would love for the country to see the original and tony award winning star, her voice just is shot. I saw her towards the beginning of her run and she was okay, nothing amazing. The only time her voice blew me away was on the cast recording. But, friends of mine have seen it later and said she screamed her way through. I think the show really damaged her voice. I didn't include the Tony's because even though she was pretty bad, it may have been nerves, so its forgivable.

On Stephanie: I am not a fan of hers, either. I just don't get the general love of her. She is talented, don't get me wrong. I just don't really like her version of Elphaba.

out of curiousity, any word on when they're getting a new cast in there, IF they are?
the show is coming here to cleveland this summer and I'm just curious if it'll still have big (or big-ish) names theatricially or be unknowns at that point (as it usually is since we get the 2nd or 3rd tours of htings here)? just wondered...
I actually don't love steph's voice,but I think she's a truly inspiring adn amazing actress and she was so incredibly nice when I met her. and I mean, not like I'm the queen of meeting people ro whatevs, but I've met a few that I really admire and others I've bumped into after seeing theirs shows and picked their braings about getting into professional thatre and advice, etc., and she stnads out as one of the, if not the, ones that was truly just a down-to-eart, really sweet person. I'd love to see her in this role, even if her singing of it may not be my personal fave.
