Posted: 7/6/04 at 11:55amYeah, after the opening number with Kristin's high note, my mom leaned over to me and said "Wow!" I think they should have put that note in the soundtrack. I think it is there but, they should have made it louder and more alone, like in the show.

Posted: 7/6/04 at 1:49pmI'm just curious about the title to this thread. Why is Eden in ''s?

Because she's a myth. No one is better than Idina

Posted: 7/6/04 at 11:33pmShe's a myth, eh? Eden doesn't *really* exist? *shakes head* I could have sworn to have met her...many times.

Posted: 7/6/04 at 11:55pmWicked, you didn't miss much. Joel Grey does nothing for the role.

You didn't miss anything re: Joel Grey. Sean McCourt is endlessly better in what is already a horrible part.
And Sammy beat me to it

Posted: 7/7/04 at 12:39amSean is so fabulous. If Joel is in, who are you usually watching in his scenes? Idina. When it's Sean, I can't keep my eyes off of him. And NO ONE clapped on his entrance, it was sad, so I started cheering and clapping, all alone in the huge Gershwin, the other day; my friend followed, and so did THE ENTIRE THEATER. It was quite cool. Sean deserves applause on his entrane, not Joel.

Posted: 7/7/04 at 12:44amha ha ha ha. Somehing siliar happened to me at Hairspray. I started cheering for Serge Kushnier when he said "And I'm Link" and gave him an extra large round of applause at curtain call... LOL. The poeple by me that day in the mezz had NO clue what was going on and joined in with me

Posted: 7/7/04 at 1:22amI also think Joel Grey's character and performance in WICKED is very forgettable.
re: rent#63
