Wow JoseLee are people walking out of The Bridges of Madison County? I was contemplating going to see it...is it that bad?

You don't have to understand it. I'm not forcing you to come with me, am I?

From what I heard, I don't think that was intentional.
But still awesome that they're having fun!

Don't listen to JoseLee_. As you can see from his avatar, he will obviously be biased towards Idina. The Bridges tour is wonderful. And this is coming from someone who doesn't like Andrew Samonsky.

I trust both of you more than Jose. I'm sure my father will also love it.
Jose, a tip: When you spread hate with a someone relatively known as your icon, people associate the hate to that icon, and that equals your fave not being seen in a good light. I suggest either changing your picture, or hold your tongue a little more often and ask if it is worth it. Most times, it isn't.

Your right sorry. I was just saying how if your going to listen to that one review.. there was a few other reviews saying how people where walking out of bridges.. and to me as a theatre fan.. even excluding liking idina. if ANY show went on tour with just ONE person from the OBC.. I would see it. and be BEYOND excited. That's why i was like o.o you would skip this? this never happens.. but whatever. enjoy :) im seeing bridges this week. i love the music.

I am glad to see James Snyder getting some positive recognition for this. It's such a thankless role and he does all he can with it. When I saw this I thought his character was too generically good-natured. How boring.
I would love to see him in a role other than a prince. Even in Cry Baby he was kind of the straight man in the middle of a sea of crazy people. He's so funny and it would be great if he could get a role that would show that off.

I just saw the December 19 matinee without Idina. We really hated the show. The sound mix was awful (we sit in the front 10 rows, dead center) -- couldn't understand much of the dialogue. The contrived plot was not only confusing, but carried almost no emotional weight.
We left at intermission. A root canal would have been more fun. How did this show ever get produced?

I saw the show at the Pantages last week and it was, well, mixed. I loved it on Broadway, saw it a few times, and was excited to see it again with much of the same cast. I still really like the message of the show but I have to say, seeing it inside this vacuous theater made the production feel just strangely... Aloof?
As for the cast, they were all pretty great, if not seemingly unchallenged. I have to say, as for Idina, she sounded incredible (no surprise), and though she wasn't quite walking through the performance, she wasn't nearly as engaged as when I saw her on Broadway. I went with a friend who had never seen the show, and they even asked if Idina was pregnant or something because she was so, well, "elsewhere." Still, it is a thrill to hear her sing live and I am glad to have seen this beautiful show one more time, but I think it's for the best that most of the cast is soon wrapping up their runs.

Does anyone know if this current cast continues to San Diego or is this the end of the run for Idina and current company?

Costa Mesa is the last stop for the OBC leads.
