It's annoying that the article doesn't even touch the subject as to why an ENTIRE company was fired. That's pretty big news. Sounds like terrible producers! Has anyone seen this yet?
Wow. Everyone involved in that is from where I live, and I know and did children's theater with a few of them. It was quite surreal when I heard about this.
Sucks all the cast members were replaced, though.
Very true Dan-Id like to know why they were replaced...did Clay see it...he probably didn't like it so he had the gay maffia take em out.
The other cast was the "workshop" cast...no one got fired. They knew they were only going to be in the previews for four weeks.

No one was fired from the cast...they had planned from the beginning to hire an entirely new cast of all NYC actors for when the show actually opened and wasn't in previews anymore.

The cast from Syracuse got to perform in the beginning of the NY run, but had to go back home for things such as school. It was planned months ago, and the Playbill article is extremely misleading.

Well - nonetheless - it was a poorly written press release, and, frankly, a really stupid idea to start previews with one cast and open a show with another.
How do they expect to build word of mouth? Especially when I hear that the current cast isn't quite the bees knees...

you "hear" they aren't quite the bees knees? are you talking about about the preview cast or the NYC cast? and no matter who you are talking about...why don't you go see the show before you make assumptions...

I saw it (first cast) - it's beyond bad. I would say a good 10 to 15 people got up and left half way through. The whole script is just inane. The actors were really the least of the problems.
