Thoroughly Modern Millie and Urinetown, but not for another 10 years or so.

Ummm...I don't care, as long as the shows are still good. Who is the next Sutton Foster?

Oh yes in a heartbeat "A Chorus Line"! I don't know with who yet, but maybe Bebe Neuwirth? ( Now I just have to win the lottery!)

I second that emotion. ACL revival all the way. I don't think they should update it, add songs, or anything. It's pretty perfect in it's original form. Tamper with that, and I think it would flop. You would have to have a cast of unknown gypsies...no stars from LA.

Marin is not from LA lol...
I wouldn't update it either...its perfect as is.
I think Sutton would be a great Maggie...
I dont know who I would pick for Morales....
Amy Spanger would certainly be fun for Val...OR Sara Gettlefinger...i loooove herrrrrr

Marc Kudisch is already my knight in shining armour. :-p

Sweeney Todd...with Brian Stokes Mitchell. I saw him down at the Kennedy Center 2 years ago and he was brilliant. As was Christine Baranski. Hell..I would watch Brian Stokes Mitchell read the phonebook and be in amazement.

If I can't get Liza for my GYPSY revival (yes, I'll wait a few years), then I want Karen Ziemba as Rose, and Brittany Murphy as Louise.

Not to be rude, but isn't Mazzie a little, um, OLD for Sheila? Sheila's supposed to be 29, remember and Mazzie's in her mid-40s (so is Bebe Neuwirth, by the way -- she played Sheila back in 1980 during the original run).
I agree with nycdncr, ACL should be cast with unknowns (except, maybe, Cassie) and should not be updated or changed. The Bennett original was perfection.

I would want to revive Flower Drum Song....maybe it's because im chinese, and have never seen a production of it. I would want the cast that they had in 2001 (i think) and for it to open in 2008 (because thats the next time ill be in nyc!!!).

I did a Google on Bryan Rivell... no Broadway credits...what's a Mummer?
Anyway, yeah, he can play Mark Tabori.
Here is the rest of my DreamCast:
Diana Morales...Daphene Rubin Vega (although Frenchie Davis would KICK OUT What I Did For Love...she just can't kick.)
Ritchie Waters...Billy Porter (Give him the ball!)
Sheila Bryant...Deidre Goodwin ("Can the adults please smoke?")Cassie...Tonya Pinkins (After the Tonys? Can you say DIVA!? She's no Mazzie or Karen Ziemba but imagine her rendition of LET ME DANCE FOR YOU!)
Al and Kristine...Hunter and Jennifer Cody (AWWWWWW!!!)
Val Clark...Kristen Chenowith (Can you just hear her monolouge about becoming a Rockette?)
I'm still up in the air about Zach...any suggestions??

I'd like to see Jessica Simpson play Val. After all, wouldn't that be something different to have a pop star appear on Broadway. That alone should draw a crowd. :)

But Deidre Goodwin as Sheila? I love her dearly, but are you for real? lol

Jessica Simpson certainly has the T&A requirements.

we could make a dream cast of ACL from the chorus boys and girls on broadway. heck, we could make 9 or 10 dream casts with the ensemble talent on Broadway. in my opinion, Cassie is the only role a star could fill, and even then it wouldn't be neccesary. Bebe could play Cassie.....she'd be amazing. ACL isn't built for star power. it's not called A STAR LINE.

If they updated ACL I think it would only damage it.
And hang on, when did you win the discus?
