right, but the trend seems to be to change the show when they revive it.
prime example:
-42nd street - they made it a glossy 2 dimensional show lacking the heart the original version had.

This is very true. I think it's all a matter of getting the right people to handle it....

I would love to see a revival of ACL. When I first saw ACL at a local theater, I thought the Kristin Chenowith would be a good Val. I love the idea of Hunter and Jen as Al and Kristine. I think Tonya is a little old to be Cassie, but Bebe would be amazing. However I think that Chorus Line should have a cast of unknowns. No one in the original was known, and I think it should be the same for the revival. The show itself would bring people in to see it, so I dont think they would need big names. The show would also be very easy to run because of its minimal sets and costumes and effects.

I think Funny Girl would be great with Idina as Fanny Brice!!!

Definitely Pippin---with Gavin Creel as Pippin.
A Chorus Line
West Side Story
And I've recently fallen in love with the "City of Angels" cast recording---I'd love if there was a revival of that in a few years.

You know, it's funny - for years the two shows I wanted to see revived most on Broadway were Fiddler on the Roof and Little Shop of Horrors. And they were both revived this past season, but both were considered blase and not worth it. So now I've stopped wishing for revivals!

I would LOVE a Once on this Island revival. It could be so amazing. The material is all there.
Also, bring Bat Boy to Broadway! (it wouldn't be a revival, though)

Sutton Foster was actually in A Chorus Line at the community theatre I'm really involved with many years ago. I don't remember which part she played but we have a nice little frame with her Millie stuff and Chorus Line stuff that her high school director gave us because he's one of members.

Besides the many shows said, would
Hello Again make a good show for Broadway.
I heard it was done at Lincoln Center awhile ago,
but could it do it again but for Broadway this time?
