Well - if THAT is as good as it gets, then Broadway is doomed. That was one of the most insulting marketing ploys I ever heard.

When I'm in nyc, I always watch that broadway previews channel and I always hear that line. And that line has always irked me.

The current stage version is AMAZING. It is for those with mature tastes, and have a taste for darker Theater.

I can't get this damn video to play for me, I really want to see this.

I hear that whenever I'm in NY. The show is ok, but it's certainly not my favorite.

I used to adore Chicago.... now I'm just kind of sick of it. It's my own fault though, for having seen it as many times as I have. I must say, for as talented as the cast is, the quality of the show HAS indeed declined over the years.

At the risk of staring a flame war, let me just say:

I'd like the current revival of CHICAGO better if it had actual sets and costumes. I could SWEAR the show is supposed to be set in the 1920's, but it sure doesn't look like that. It looks like a gay bar, with guys in leather pants and vests with no shirts.

It looks like a rehearsal, not an actual show.

I hope that Chicago isn't as good as it gets. Don't get me wrong, I think Chicago is pretty good, but that's a ridiculous claim. I guess they'll say whatever they have to to fill seats though. I liked the Rent video (of course), even though it wasn't anything new. Isn't Anthony Rapp amazing? I wish he still posted here. And I liked the Avenue Q video, even though I think I watched it before. John Tartaglia is amazing too. I think I'm doomed to always fall for gay guys, not only in celebrity world, but in my world too. I'm totally off topic now so I'll stop. Elyse. No day but today.

You guys are lucky I wish I could watch the broadway preview channel......the only time I get to see a preview for a broadway show is when the commercials come on "E" other than that there commercials for the touring shows that come through here.

Advertising is hyperbole. Besides, Chicago is just about as good as it gets.
