Also he was in RENT, and that hasn't closed.

I though John Stamos was the show ender.

I've seen a lot worse on the stage than Joey Fatone!

Joey is not the reason that Little Shop closed - but he didn't help things either. While he may not be worthy of trashing - he certainly isn't worthy of being a lead in a show. I loved certain elements of this production, but it seemed like something was missing - especially after Sills/Butler left. Fatone is no good - but I didn't think the show was going to have a long run on Broadway.

And Melanie Griffith received a rave review (a love letter really) from Ben Brantley in the Times and "Chicago" became a sellout hit again while she was in the cast -- it was a "hot" show again and one of the hardest tickets to get in town. Griffith (awful as she was) was the exact opposite of a show ender -- she was box office magic and created a buzz around the show that lasted long after she left the cast.

I said that he wasn't the sole reason the show closed. He certainly contributed - he's very bad.

She's a well-known actress, hell, she could have paid for them.

OMG, David did ruin JEKYLL AND HYDE for me (even though I cherish the concept recording because of Linda and Anthony *sigh*)

Yes, I was just about to say Dave, he ended that show, just watch that DVD and you will see how horrible he was. Rosie O'Donnell is a horrible producer, most of her shows bomb, may I refer you to Taboo (which was GREAT in London, but she changed it to be more like Rent) and Seussical The Musical.
