Posted: 7/31/06 at 6:30pmI saw it in Chicago, and there was a 14 year-old girl in it. So you shouldn't have a problem, age-wise.

Its a good thing its 17 physical age. If you needed to be 17 mentally, a lot of people on this board wouldnt make it in.

Okay, I understand you have to through an interview if you want to get on stage, but how exactly do you get interviewed. Sorry, if this seems stupid, but I'm one of those people who is very intelligent and sorely lacking in the common sense department. I might be going to see the show soon and I would really like to be in it so if anyone could explain the whole process simply and slowly, becasue while I may be a good speller I'm certain I'll do something to mess up getting in the show. And if I do get an interview I'll have to lie my butt off because I've been in every local and school production and listened to the cast recording for Spelling Bee way too many times.
Oh, one more question, what happens if one of the audience spellers never gets a word wrong. I would just assume they would give him an imaginary or impossible to spell word, or say they spelt a word wrong even if they didn't.

I was answering your question about kid spellers, and you made it sound like you were asking about kid spellers on Broadway.
