*laughing* at the fact that even though it says "ignore" 45 people have looked at this thread anyway... curiousity at its best...
Well what better way to get a thread rolling, then by off the bat telling people to not read it :)
It worked on me!!! I would love it if this post ended up getting some ridiculous number of responses......like 3,476,098
I love how almost a hundred people have viewed this thread anyway. Including me. Dammit!
This is the 2nd time I noticed the header, but I didn't actually go in and LOOK at the thread until someone had replied to it (wink).

Well I didn't want to miss out on all the excitement. But I'll ignore it from now on. Starting............now.
DAMMIT! I keep meaning to ignore and then I'm curious what all these other posts are!
It started as a thread about letting American citizens born outside of the U.S. run for the presidency. Now, that thread is on the OT board and has inspired some colorful comments by our right-winged friends at Broadwayworld.com...
God I can't type.

Yeah, I figured that was the thread you were referring to. I'm surprised at a lot of comments that were made. It doesn't even come down to what the constitution says about naturalized citizens. It doesn't matter who's right on that issue. That's just semantics. It's the viewpoints of some of these folks that disappoint me.
**off soapbox**
Will stick in my 2c on that thread once I've slept and can string together words coherently. It ain't happening tonight!
Oh, the OT board is a haven for the right. Inevitably, FindingNamo comes along and shoes them away until the next polysci thread crops up. :)
Tiff, I don't know why you're surprised by the viewpoints. You post there more often than I do!

True - I'm not surprised at the comments made by certain people, but since my parents are immigrants turned citizens, I never really realized how many people on such a "liberal" board would be intolerant of them, say, running for President (or in my case, Prime Minister). The idea of being a citizen is that you are afforded all the same rights as everybody else. I suppose this hits closer to home than most other political topics discussed on here do.
Edit: Gosh, I really do spend a lot of time on the OT board, don't I? hehe
Who would have thought a topic like this could receive so many replies?
im glad i followed the instructions
oh, wait...
