art2 keeps posting ridiculus comments about how the Trailer for the RENT movie trailer doesent show any male on male kissing atomatocly assuming that Chris Columbus is scared of puting male on male kissing in the movie but is ok with female-female and male-female kissing. First of all.... ITS ONLY A TEASER TRAILER! Second.... Many of us on this board are proud gay men, like myself, and we should all be conserned about gay censorship, but PLEASE learn to pick your fights. No male-male kissing in a teaser trailer is not a good fight to pick. Its not worth it. Wait until the movie comes out then make your judgments. nobody has seen the movie therefor we cannot make these judgments yet. So all i ask is for fellow posters to just ignore these comments about the movie and let his threads die their natural death. that is my 2 cents and i hope ya'll read this and take it seriusly. thanks.
Don't mean to sound, well...mean but you could have posted this in the thread regarding this topic.
We've got it covered.

your right i could have posted this in the original thread and i probably should have, But, i dint want to prolong the life of the thread pushing it to the top once again. Also i know most people dont read anything between the first comment and the last so i thought this would be a good way to get the message across

It's not the right time yet art2. You've been very vocal and I applaud you for that. Let's wait until the movie comes out.
"do you think that columbus could make a movie that has crude language, drug abuse, and aids, and NOT include male on male kissing? is this a joke?"-Jess925
Well we don't know. But gay male kissing is a lot less acceptable than the most grotesque violence you can imagine when it comes to putting it on the screen. We will just have to see.

Chita33,
Very well put. Many liberals still seem to think that acts of violence between men are preferable to acts of love. It's a truly sad state of affairs.

I was truly horrified by the posts on your original thread. Not because of the attacks directed towards you but because a lot of the attacks were made by gay men(not patronus)and the subtle self hatred in their words and tone was quite disturbing. Justice is one young man who never ceases to surprise me with his anti-gay stance. While he claims to be a proud and productive member of society, he constantly attacks anyone who defends gay rights and cries out how much he hates, and these are his words, "Friggin' obnoxious gay activist fighting a solo fight that gets nowhere faggot."
To me, he seems not to understand the plight of the gay american too well. Except when it comes to throwing around disparaging remarks towards his own. "fa**ot" is not a word we use in anger. Much less at each other.

Chita33,
Thanks for your concern.
Yes, it never ceases to amaze that the person (myself) who makes a pertinent point regarding fair and accurate representation is the one who is vociferously attacked for it.

art2 , I want to make it clear that when you put up a post like yours, you will be attacked. Debate is part of this forum. I do not object to the attacks against your politics but to the form and content of some of these attacks. I agree with other posters that if no one has seen the movie it is difficult to argue the "homophobic" actions of the creators(if in fact they exist.) We have to wait for the release of the film to have an informed dialogue.
