Got this today, frankly I am disappointed, it is VERY good, but it just somehow seems flat and lifeless compared to the concept album!

I heard this playing the last time I was in Dress Circle and it sounded so over-the-top and sickly I almost puked LOL (especially when it reminded me of the awful night in Plymouth when I saw the show).

I like the concept album as well and will be buying the OLC, but I didn't think the orchestrations were as good in the theatre as on the concept album. The brass in the title song sounded a bit like the theme for This Is Your Life.

I haven't heard the concept album or anything from the show, but am still intrigued how much this musical divided critics and fans? Would it be worth getting the album?

i mean yes the olcr has is floors and some tracks are abit lifeless but i really like it ! but we all have our own personal opinion !

I'm not saying it's bad AT ALL! It is brilliant, but it is just missing something that the concept album has, although the concept album doesn't have the emotion the OLCR has!

yea thats very true ! and the cuts made from the concept album are well deserved cuts ! and the things added for the olcr are great

Can I download it anywhere? Although I was excited about it because I loved the music at the time, I can actually only remember the title number so it's the only one I'm interested in having on the ol' Ipod.
