Dress circle announced online today that the original London Cast Recording is to released early next year (So at least a month after its closure!)
Imagine This Recording IS happening!

They're recording it from the live shows apparently, and you can put details down at the theatre =)

My friend did exactly the same thing! Haha
Apparently the more people that sign up for the CD, the more likely the CD would be released, so they must have had some interest =)

well the two of us did it on Friday- may those are the two that tipped them over to do it! x
(i noticed a few doing it before and during the interval actually)

Apologies I just see Imagine This in the title of the thread and I can't stop myself....
Actually I will be quite happy to listen to a lot of the CD, I thought the music, apart from the fact it was wholly inappropriate for the source and subject matter, was quite strong in an 80's powershow type way.
And whilst I'm sick of shows trying to keep the 80's sound going (surely there must be a fresh composer who has taken notice of the 90's and most of the noughties, and can feed those influences in to a musical score?), this was at least one of the better sounding 80's scores.
But interesting to notice they're recording it from the live shows; it's good that they found a nice quiet place to record it...
