Just wanted to alert everyone...
I just received an e-mail from telecharge explaining that latecomers will not be seated until intermission.
I just received the same e-mail, and I say GOOD FOR THEM. I wish more shows would take this initiative. When I was at THE COLOR PURPLE, it was like a freaking stampede of people coming in late, and it's really hard to focus on the action on stage when you have people shoving into rows directly in front of you.
Yeah, we noticed on our way in last night that there were like two signs in the lobby (maybe more?) saying that too. Which I totally loved, not having latecomers interrupting the first act.
From what I saw there should be a warning from telecharge telling folks in the front row that they might get wet. :)

May be a safety issue with Julia, as well.
So they're pulling an Alfred Hitchcock, huh? Good for them! Wish more shows would do the same. Don't even get me started on the people with the cell phones.
Well this definitely make sense for a play where the action is continuous. In a musical, there are breaks for applause, so its much less distracting for the audience and for the actors.
Yeah, sounds like a security issue with Julia Roberts. Was there heavy bag check too, as they did with Hugh in Boy from Oz?
Why would anyone want to kill Julia Roberts?!?!

Why would anyone send death threats to Idina Menzel or Sherie Rene Scott? Unfortunately, there are some sick and twisted people out there who ruin the Broadway experience for everybody else. I totally understand the caution taken.
i was kind of making a joke
There was also heavy security at the stage door on "Sweet Charity" many times because crazy Married with Children fans (tall, fat, brawny, trucker hat, ultra butch, you know the type) would stand and wait for her and call out for Kelly Bundy yelling out sexual comments. I think it was mostly on Saturday matinees. Sheesh.
