I would suggest changing the dark grey font color of the obituary blurbs because you cannot read it next to the black background. Or change the black background to a lighter color. I checked a few and didn’t even know it was there until the 4th person. I’m using my phone if that makes a difference. Otherwise, great idea and looking forward to reading the rest once I can see them.

I hear you, Burr. I'm sorry to say the captions are only visible on a laptop or desktop -- and even then only with a workaround. The techies at Wordpress promise a solution to this problem.
In the meantime, if you don't have a computer, you can at least see the names of each person if you click on either the circle or the square beneath each individual picture.

Ok, the "Happiness Engineers" (that's their official title) fixed the technical problem, and you should be able to read the captions on a smart phone now. To do so (or to see the full captions on a computer), you have to click on the circle with the i in the middle.
