^ I don't know! In the two times I've seen the show, he's been out and Tony Chiroldes has been on as Piragua Guy. I heard he got hurt a little while ago (don't quote me on that), but should have been back by now. Even when I randomly met Eliseo last month, he said he would be back in the show soon...but that was a month ago. I do hope he's okay!!

Has Marcus gone on as Benny yet? And if so, how was he?

Marcus has gone on for Benny more than once..I heard he was fairly good.

I heard from a few people he wasn't that good.
Apparently he's just too happy in the role, and doesn't have an edge.

I saw Josh Henry in the role last week and he had a similar issue.

I saw both Josh and Marcus (weird luck, right?)

I thought they were both terrific. I liked Josh better than Marcus (but I saw Marcus' first time on). They were happier than Chris, but they definitely had an edge. I always have a problem with Chris during Act 2 when Benny becomes more sensitive (for lack of a better word), especially during "When the Sun Goes Down". I think Josh and Marcus did an infinitely better job there especially.

Overall, I think Chris's rapping is better, their voices are comparable, and Josh and Marcus' acting was better.

Gabrielle Ruiz. I loved her as Morales on the ACL tour- can not wait to see her go on in one of her u/s tracks.

Per facebook, Eliseo is back tonight.


I saw the show again on Saturday with Krysta as Nina. She completely blew me away. Her acting was perfect, she had great chemistry with Chris, and her voice is so well suited to the music. Shaun was great as Usnavi (despite literally going "ioeuwtopiuregljroip WASHINGTON HIZNITS!" during 96,000). I liked his Usnavi a lot.

Also, people can judge me all they want for this, but Janet Dacal is my favorite Vanessa.
