For each city left on the IN THE HEIGHTS tour, beintheheights.com is giving away at least 5 pairs of tickets. Looks like response has been low, so if you sign up and get just a few clicks you'll probably be going to see the show for free

OMG! I just emailed the contest administrators and they got back to me right away thanking me for pointing it out. So thank you Steve! They said that was a big mistake and have changed the contest closing date to May 1, 2011. Crazy, no? I would say this probably increases anyone's chances of winning now since there will have been fewer sign ups!

Also they said there's a link for discount tickets in Philadelphia (https://tickets.kimmelcenter.org/APO/apo.aspx?apo_no=HEIGHTS) and a link for discount tickets in Rochester (http://www.ticketmaster.com/venueartist/164/1089137).

So that's that!

I am going to try and make sure I win tickets to see this show in Rochester: http://beintheheights.com/kathking

Also, for anyone else trying to win tickets, I figured out that if you hit "change" on the site (top right) it gives you a list so you can pick a city and see where you stand next to other people in your city. In Rochester I'm 9th and only 15 clicks away from 5th... those are pretty good odds :) 1 click at a time... lol

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who clicked my link - almost 80 of you - I am now in 2nd place and there is hope for me to see this musical in Rochester after all - so thanks again!

no clue i have heard people have gotten notice around 1 week before the show opening in there town but as late as 24 hrs before opening night

I've voted for everyone here, even the people wanting Rochester! :) How have people found out that they won? Telephone? Email? And are the seats at random or do they have a certain amount set aside for this offer?

I won this contest for my city last summer. They will notify you by email a couple of days before the first performance in your city if you are a winner. You'll have a couple of dates to choose from, and I believe they are usually weekday evening performances. Then you just give them your information and the tickets will be at will call.

I ended up getting side orchestra seats for a Friday night. Not too shabby!
