For the First Time from Tarzan. people knock me for my love of Tarzan but the show, the music, and especially that song is just so beautiful and moving. the song is just a perfect example of how it feels to fall in love.... goes to listen to it again

Not your typical love song, but "Unworthy of Your Love" from Assassins would probably be at the top of my list.

'You'll Never Get Away From Me' & 'Small World' from Gypsy

"The Next Ten Minutes" from L5Y. Does that count even if it wasn't on Broadway?

"All the Things You Are" from VERY WARM FOR MAY, composed in 1939 by Jerome Kern, with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II and still the most beautiful and romantic love song I have ever heard in any Broadway musical.

morons, when it comes to knowledge of anything outside, or beyond, pop culture." Steve Slezak

'Sorta Love Song' by Scott Burkell for the cabaret "Love songs and other crap"
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

My first instinct was Marry Me A Little, which is depressing and pathetic, so I'll go with Being Alive. Slightly better, but still kind of jaded. None of that schmaltzy Rodgers and Hammerstein crap for me.

Loving You, from Passion.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.

Sappy, but I love "Somewhere" from WSS, and agree with "All I Ask of You." "As Long As You're Mine" puts a lump in my throat, also.

I have to agree with So In Love, esp. the version on the De-Lovely soundtrack. So haunting and lovely.

Also, I was just listening to GrooveLily's score to A Midsummer Night's Dream and was reminded of how romantic that show was. My favorite track is Titania's Suite.
...I wish I could go back in time and see that production again.

"I'd Give It All For You" - Songs For a New World
"Tonight" - West Side Story
"Love to Me" and "Say It Somehow" - The Light in the Piazza
