If I want to buy tickets for the show for a later date at the box office, will they offer me the 60 dollar partial view orchestra seats? On ticketmaster.com they have partial view orchestra seats but they are listed as 120.
how you can justify paying even $60 to see "In The Heights" is beyond me. I just don't get it.
I paid $41.50 for partial view at the box office.
Why would anyone pay $ 100 plus for Wicked even once? For multiple viewings, infathomable.
"I paid $41.50 for partial view at the box office."
They've raised it to 61.50 now.
I paid 41.50 a week and two days ago. There's a thread discussing this.
Let me explain myself, then.
Last weekend, it was $61.50. Weeknights can occasionally have them for $41.50 depending on how they have been selling.
All I am asking is if you can buy these for future performances...not just for that day..? Thanks.
Well I went on a Thursday night, and I got the last 2 partial view seats. So they obviously were selling well.
Someone said it's up to the box office's mood, and it really seems that way. It's ridiculous. Make a set price.
I know I'm being annoying just could someone please answer my question.
I just called the BO and the man said the partial view seats are $121.50. Rip off! He said they were sold out this weekend...
Maybe I will just buy the 41.50 rear mezz seats..are they worth it?
bump
Yes, the $41.50 are worth it. The view from the rear mezz is great. I was in H28, which is the very last row all the way at the end, and it was still fine.
I'd rather sit full-view rear mezz than partial-view rear orch at Heights.
And yes, I've sat in both... back in the day when you could get partial-view rear orch for $31.50 (this would have been pre-Tonys, obviously), can't believe they're now getting full $121.50 for those seats.

Seriously, those rear orch seats blow. I remember being annoyed at the view from the $20 standing room area; can't even imagine how anyone would be okay with paying $100 more for being like 2 inches closer. And, you know, sitting down.
I paid $41.50 for the rear orch partial view not even 2 weeks ago. I do not understand how they're now $121.50. This box office makes stuff up.
I think that in advance they're still full price but they reduce them if they're unsold day of.
I sat in the last row of the Rear Mezzanine for CYRANO and the view was perfect. I saw everything on stage.
I paid $51.50 for orchestra partial-view seats after losing the lotto last Friday (2/20). I was actually surprised at the number of seats in the back of the orchestra that are considered partial view. I hate the overhang in that theater.
The night before I had partial view seats in the front mezz for Billy Elliot (student rush $41.50). Except for three second of Billy, I saw everything.
If I see In the Heights again, I'll opt for the $41.50 rear mezz seats instead (and buy in advance).

Wow, I'm glad I read this thread! I seem to remembering hearing that the partial view orch seats were very good. So does the overhang cut off the top of the stage? Is that what makes the seats undesirable?
^^It does cut off the top of the stage. You miss two scenes with it - basically you can't see the second level windows/fire escapes (at least from where I was sitting, which was last row Orchestra).
While that doesn't ruin the show by any stretch of the imagination (you have a nice clear view of 80% of the action), I did miss seeing the overall impression of the set, being the techie dork I am. That's why I'd opt for the $41.50 mezz seats next time.
