Posted: 7/7/09 at 5:11pmNo way it's closing. Plus, it's selling tickets through January 31st, 2010. I don't know where you got July 8th from.

Ticketmaster is selling tickets way into 2010.
Maybe, the site was down when you looked at? Who knows?
re: So is WEST SIDE STORY closing?#3
Posted: 7/7/09 at 5:13pmMaybe it was just messed up for a second, because I just checked and they're selling through July at least (I didn't check past then)
re: So is WEST SIDE STORY closing?#4
Posted: 7/7/09 at 5:15pmClosing because it sold 93% of its tickets this week? Or because it sold 101% last week?

I've heard its a really bad production
Good book bad production or so I've heard
I kinda want it to close so they can bring back LB

Posted: 7/7/09 at 7:35pmThere is no way in hell Legally Blonde will comeback to the Palace ever.

Then can LB go to the Bway when the dreaded SHREK closes
Or how about the Nederlander since it's dark
re: So is WEST SIDE STORY closing?#12
Posted: 7/7/09 at 7:43pmBrighton Beach Memoirs/ Broadway Bound (in rep) has booked the Nederlander.

No. The Bway is BIGGER than the Palace. Shrek is making bank compared to when Legally Blonde was open.

Posted: 7/7/09 at 8:00pmLB ISN'T coming back...no matter what closes. It doesn't work that way. If LB was making money BEFORE WSS came to town, it wouldn't have left.

Posted: 7/7/09 at 8:37pmLegally Blonde would still be open right now if it played a smaller theatre.

Posted: 7/7/09 at 8:42pmHm well maybe not, but it would of definitely had a much longer run than it did. It wasn't even doing that bad, it was just not filling in enough seats for the huge ass Palace.
