In your opinion, what are the ten greatest musicals of all time?

1. RENT
2. Ragtime
3. A Chrous Line
4. Sweeny Todd
5. Les Miserables
6. Oklahoma
7. West Side Story
8. Caroline, or Change
9. Showboat
10. Dreamgirls

No way I can pick 10...but I think from what I've read from others you can't have a top 10 list without West Side Story(which I personally think is the best ever made), Gypsy, and Fiddler On The Roof.

9. West Side Story
8. Gypsy
7. Evita
6. Merrily We Roll Along
5. A Chorus Line
4. Cabaret
3. Side Show
2. Hedwig and the Angry Inch

2. Thoroughly Modern Millie
3. Wicked
4. The Phantom of the opera (OBC not Emmy Rossum although i like that Raoul)
5. Little Women
6. Funny Girl
7. Rent
8. West Side Story
9. A Chorus Line
10. The Music Man/ Into the Woods/Company
but i love most musicals I see.

3. The Secret Garden
4. Thoroughly Modern Millie
5. The Phantom of the Opera
6. Parade
7. Hello Dolly
8. Little Shop of Horrors
9. Sunday in the Park with George
10. Anything Goes

Passion

The ten greatest it is is impossible to say, because everyone will disagree. But I can tell you my ten favorites, in no particular order :

Les Miserables
Rent
Hairspray
Phantom of the Opera
Miss Saigon
West Side Story
Aida
Crazy for You
Mamma Mia
The Lion King

And the runner up spot, because it is very recent and hasn't fully sunk in, Billy Elliot !

Cabaret
Chicago

Honorable mentions - Rent, Dreamgirls, West Side Story, A Little Night Music, Falsettos, Ragtime, Hair, & La Cage Aux Folles

Anyone else notice that whenever these top 10 posts appear, Sondheim is usually on everyones lists? GO STEVIE!!!!!
