No, not really. But I was watching an ABBA concert on TV and wondering why did ABBA, of all people, get a musical based on their songs. Or even Peter Allen? What other bands/singers should have their songs adapted for a musical?
My picks:
- Michael Jackson (Really. But maybe it would work better as a Movin' Out-type show.)
- U2
- Elton John
"Good luck returning my ass!" - Wilhemina Slater
"This is my breakfast, lunch and f***ing dinner right here. I'm not even f***in' joking." - Colin Farrell

I would love to see Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, or the Beach Boys... ok so the last one would be corny and peppy... but every once in a while we need a little sap in our lives

What about? --
"I'm Rick James, Bitch -- The Musical"
Act One Closing Showstopper -- Rick sings a love song to his crackpipe and then goes downstairs and burns the girl he's got kidnapped and chained to the wall of his basement with it.

Yeah, it's the sad truth. The real talent aren't appealing. The labels don't want anything to do with them. Which is what brings me to my sad conclusion: "how can they believe there's life on other planets, if they don't have it on our own??" Think about it

ABBA probably got a musical based on their songs because:
1. The songs are very melodic and often have narrative lyrics.
2. They are the world's #1 selling pop group of all time.
3. Their music has proven to stand the test of time.
