Ok, so this didnt happened to me, but a friend of mine just told me an interesting story so I thought I'd share. So he works for the producers of Avenue Q and Rent, and they got him and a couple of his friends in to be seat fillers at the Tony's. So for the first hour while Idina was presenting and such they were stuck behind a pole and he was thinking "Well its just cool to be here and all." Just before the TV portion begins they come get him and seat him...in the front row. So he assumes he's going to have to move cause the presenters sit there and all....10 minutes later Idina Menzel and Taye Diggs come and sit down...right next to him. He ends up staying in the front row for the entire show. Pretty awesome. And apparently, yes, Sara Ramirez was singing it live. Just thought you might find it interesting. Later! Did you see when Kramer went up and took the award that didn't belong to him?

Of course Sara was singing live.
Thanks for sharing! Wow, what a thrilling tale!
And that is meant with the utmost amount of sarcasm that is possible.
Since when did Menzel/Diggs become the most famous people in the world?
...right after babs became untalented....
notice the sarcasm.
No, it's still a cool story....think if it was clive...

When did I say they were the coolest people in the world? Any celebrity is fun to see, especially people who are popular right now. And whom under your most humble opinion would have made that an interesting story? Sorry I wasnt able to live up to your standards.

don't apologize sahdu, munk was just being obnoxious. it is a very cool story and a great opportunity to see the show for your friend!
Did anyone NOT sing live? I was there, they all seemed to be singing live....
*LittleWing your avatar made me laugh so hard a co-worker came in to check on me.
Even if Diggs isn't the most famous/cool celebrity... if he sat next to me at the Tonys I probably would've started drooling. He's so hot. LOL.
that is great. Amazing things DO happen in New York. One day I was just walking from theatre to theatre looking at prices...it was a sat. mat and this man came up to me at the gershwin ( during oklahoma )and asked if I had tickets. I kind of rudely told him i was just looking at prices and he told me he had free house seats and two friends couldn't show up. ended up sitting right next to Patrick Wilson's family.
what a lucky guy! thats a great story! thanks for sharing.
