“At the turn of the century - the turn of the 20th century - he had a lot of wives and no sex life, and his eunuch, Mandy Patinkin, takes him into Vienna to find inspiration.’’
My favorite sentence in a very long time.

A lot, how?
FOLLIES was a financial flop. But Company and Night Music recouped. Sweeney recouped on tour. and I'm not sure about Pacific Overtures and Spider Woman. But those are the only questionable ones.

Not on the list were Baker Steet & Superman.
Follies was a finacial flop but a landmark musical.

"A lot, how? "
Well I was including the original production of Sweeney, Follies, Pacific Overtures, Kiss of Spiderwoman. Which I did consider 'a lot'. Though I guess Sweeney doesn't count then (was it the same producers though? I Heard otherwise).
