Ben Wright is hot (or at least he was) in his own sweet way...
I really loved Ben Wright in the role. I thought his acting and singing was perfect. I didn't see the revival, but when I heard Adam Wylie I was appalled.

Did the cast perform at the Tony's back in...2002 (I think it was...was it?) If so, does anyone have the video?

Yes, they did perform, but no, I don't have a copy of a video.

DGrant?...anybody?
They did a three minute capsule version of the story narrated by Tom Aldredge culminating in the Witch's transformation, then Phylicia Rashad led the company in CHILDREN WILL LISTEN and the final INTO THE WOODS reprise.

Sorry, Scotty, I didn't see your question! Glad you got the answer, though

Was it a good performance? Also-was Kristin Chenoweth's performance at the Tony's good back with YAMCB? I...sadly...have never watched the Tony's before. Theater has just this last year become a huge part of my life...I highly doubt this, but does anyone have the YAMCB performance?

Parks - I'm going to pass on a critique, as I was watching to see a friend in the cast - so I obviously can't claim any objectivity
Sorry, I was actually reporting on the original cast at the '88 Tonys, but I think the revival cast did an almost identical segment. As for Charlie Brown, MY NEW PHILOSOPHY was sensational and the lady herself completely justified the inclusion of the new song.
How was the revival version of Last Midnight staged/done? I know the lyrics were different, but what else was re-arranged? Like the Witch disappearing and everything.
Anyone?
The Witch took the Baby from the Baker and sang the song as a demented Lullabye.
"You're so pure
But stay here and in time you'll mature..."
kinda f-ed up if u think about it
Hmm, yeah. That explains the picture I've seen of 'Nessa holding the baby. How did they stage the Witch disappearing?
Weeeeeeee!

I love both the original and the revival....
I think each had their highlights , I mean, Bernadette is a sheer comic brilliance but Vanessa all did her work to keep her witch away from Bernadette's which i totally commended her for. They both have ups and downs......
and the revival had Chris Seiber *drools*
