^just to comment, i love how the authority for when a production can be deemed eligible to be reinvented/ re conceived/ revived is not the original composer, who many consider to be the greatest living theatre professional, not to mention one of the most significant contributors to the American musical theatre... but you. Jordan Catalano. You are the authority.

Someone's opinion is stated and another says that that is flat out false, belittles the composer, and goes on his merry way
I point out that said someone is making himself look a tad pompous, and call for peace.
I never painted myself as an authority, Jordan did. I was simply pointing out the ridiculousness of such a comment.
Those are hardly the same thing.
