I'm so excited! Unfortunately, I won't be able to go, but I've been waiting for this to happen! This is a big year for this musical! A movie, inventive productions, a bluray DVD, and now this! I hope they film it! I wanna see/hear Bernadette perform Last Midnight! Anybody plan on going?

I know...its a bummer. But, I live in a state where the theatre isn't a big deal, so I miss a lot of this stuff!
Does anyone know if this will be filmed in any way- even for YouTube for those of us who live 'across the pond'?

Crap, I have tickets for Hunchback later in the week so have planned my 36 hours in LA around that. Bugger

Definitely buying my tickets when the single ticket sale date comes. Can't wait to go!

Got my tickets. Good orchestra seats are in the $250-$500 range. The back of the orchestra section is around $110. Cheapest balcony seats are $60. At 3000 seats though, I'm worried sitting by the back would be too far.
I also bought my tickets and opted for the $110 tickets in the orchestra getting row U with 7 rows behind me. I've sat in the back before and it's not as good as sitting closer but it's lots better than in Tier 2 or the hideous balcony; that's where I would never purchase a ticket. November 9th can't come soon enough for me.
I know it's Orange County, but those prices are insane. Given that this is largely a conversation "with musical selections" (some dude at a piano, no doubt), I have a hard time believing they're going to sell out that huge venue. I'm sure tickets will wind up on Goldstar.
Some SCTFA events turn up on Goldstar but never with a price reduction that I've seen. Since they pick the seats for you on Goldstar you can wind up with a fairly good seat that they've held back, but I wasn't taking a chance at not getting a ticket. Will know how many have been pre-sold when the tickets go on sale this Sunday at 10 am and you can actually choose your own seat.

Many of the pre-sale sections sold out. Of course, there will be more available for the general sale. However, the advertising for the film version should be in full swing at this time. This will likely benefit from that.
The Pantages sent out a pre-sale e-mail today and BOOM the tickets were snapped up quickly. They had $59.00 tix on sale which they changed after 24hrs to $79.00 because they all sold so quickly. According to my sources there are now 35 tickets available in that 3000 seat mausoleum. Looks like they won't even be selling to the public on Sunday let alone Goldstar.

The ticket prices went up last night even before the Pantages email this morning. I was wondering when I looked again last night if I had missed something… the $150 tickets became $199.
I do believe this will sell out and not be on Goldstar. It's the talk of the town and the event isn't even till November.
I GOT MY TICKET...i will be there on Nov.9!...i am so excited...the ticket price is high but...it's my birthday in Dec so this is my present to myself...i have loved this musical for decades now...i have only seen the revival with VANESSA WILLIAMS here in Los Angeles, this will be a real high to see most of the original cast and SONDHEIM and LAPINE...plus JOANNA GLEESON...alright!...

It's a benefit for God's Love We Deliver and Friends In Deed.
"Does anyone know if this will be filmed in any way?"
According to one of the cast members there has been no mention of it being filmed.
I just looked to see if there were any tickets left and there were 2 in the orchestra. Looks like it's sold out unless you get some from the ticket scalpers and I'll bet the prices will be sky high.
I know this is the way it goes, but crap those tickets went quick....any idea on what other ticketing website I might be able to score a ticket?

Well, they still have those $600 tickets. If you get one from a third party site, that might be the price you end up paying for a worse seat
Wildcard, I would pay six hundred from them, but every time i look it says sold out...any info on those seats!
I hope Bernadette performs one of the iconic original songs she doesn't perform anymore (e.g., Last Midnight; Stay With Me)!
The entire performance does indeed to be sold out to me (including the $500 seats).

Try calling them. The pit seats still show for me (row EE)
They've now added a second show at an earlier time at 1 pm. Tickets for the 2nd show go on sale tomorrow morning at 10 am.

Hmmm. Does anyone know if there's an orchestra or will it just be Ted Sperling at the piano? Can't say I'd pay these kinds of prices for the (no doubt wonderful) original cast and a dude at a piano.
