What character did Kate Reindeers play in the revival? I tried searching for it and did not find her name in any cast list; however her bio says Into the Woods 2002 revival. Anyone know?

(Martha Graham from a letter to Agnes de Mille) "There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening That is translated through you into action, And because there is only one of you in all time, This expression is unique. If you block it, It will never exist through any other medium And be lost. The world will never have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is, Nor how valuable it is, Nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours, clearly and directly, To keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep open and aware Directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, A blessed unrest that keeps us marching And makes us more alive than others."

Ditto. Kate was a good cow, an even better June, and I cannot WAIT to see her Glinda!

Where is she going to be Glinda?!

Is Into the Woods a particularly small cast? I'd like to know because I'm trying to persuade my director to do it next year. I love the music.

She's now Glinda in the sit-down.

hellacoolmichael, - ITW isn't small-small, but it isn't '42nd Street' either.

A couple of the roles can be doubled up if needed (and have been in the past), but you are still looking at maybe a good 20 people.

Snap. Now that's some anti-revival fightin' words. Funny though.

I think I read on bway.com that Kate was the original Milky White, but she got hurt manipulating the puppet eight times a week, so they gave the part to Chad Kimball and had her understudy the role.

While I am sure Kate is great, I had the good fortune of seeing Laura Benanti as Cinderella. Amazing!

Hahahaha...Laura Benanti as Cinderella. You guys are too much.

Laura was 8 when Into the Woods was on Broadway, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have cast her as Cinderella, but I'm sure she'd do a great job if they ever brought it back.

Yeah, OK. I'm not the one who's talking about revivals that never happened...

I don't mind all the crazy talk, but I think that's what the student board is there for you to be banished to. No?

I saw both the original 1987 production and the 2002 revival. While I much preferred the first cast, Laura Benati was fantastic as Cinderella in the revival. There were a few staging ideas in the revival (notably the dancing cow) that I liked but little else outdid the original.

With the Tony Award for best revival and generally strong sales (usually in the 80% range) I was surprised the producers opted to close it when Vanessa Williams left.

The current Stratford production offers an entirely new and original look to the show and is zestfully performed by a superb ensemble cast.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Is Chad Kimball the one who is on Gilmore Girls as a recurring character? There's a young geeky nerd with strawberry blond hair on the show who disappeared for mose of a season and when he came back, talked about being on Broadway in Into The Woods - He could have only played Jack or Milky White, with his build and voice.
*edit* oops just answered my own question by ibdb-ing, its Adam Wylie who's on Gilmore Girls - is he Noah's brother?

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!
