Ipi Tombi?

I was talking to a co-worker who used to work in New York. She was telling me how she used to see several shows a month, including very good ones that unfortunately didn't last very long. One show she mentioned was Ipi Tombi (I didn't know how to spell it, so I Googled a guess and found this spelling.) She really enjoyed the show and the music, which she said was African, accompanied by percussion. Since BWW is my first resource for theatre info, I was curious what you might know about the show?

It was a quick failure at the now-demolished Harkness Theatre, that stood around 62nd and Broadway.
