Hey all!
Can someone tell me more about this show? Do we think it will be worth spending the money to see it? I'm a college student coming on the day it opens, and can get opening night tickets for $25 through hiptix. Will it be worth it? Seems like an awesome cast!

I didn't see it in Connecticut, but I enjoyed the film... I would see it if I were you, but I may not be the best reference point.

Based on the movie & the composer of the songs, it is definitely worth it .

I saw it at the Muny last summer. The songs are obviously good and there are some cute dance numbers but there's not much in the way of plot and I found it predictable and corny. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't really recommend it either.

Not much of a film. With Astaire and Crosby and the song "White Christmas," it was assured of success. Boy meets girl, boy loses girl through connivance of former partner, boy gets girl back through counter-connivance. The soundtrack didn't have any other major hits.
This is not the kind of show that reviewers will go to with high hopes, but Roundabout's recent successes have earned my trust. A few contributors to this board liked it in its tryout.
But I hope to hell that the final Broadway show that Roundabout has yet to announce is a major musical.

I saw it at the Muny and enjoyed it. Yes, it's predictable and characters didn't feel very well developed to me, but it made for a nice evening. There's some great dance numbers and classic songs. It's not groundbreaking, but for a $25 ticket, I'd go for it.
