#1Is "Little Miss Sunshine" Still coming to Broadway?

I remember reading here a few months ago that Little Miss Sunshine is coming to Broadway this upcoming season, since a lot of shows closed(I think it was mentioned at the same article with Leap of Faith)
Any news about it so far?
I think I'm one of the few who really liked this show(despite the book, I think some of the songs are lovely)

Posted: 7/5/12 at 3:14amI believe Riedel did say in the same column about Leap of Faith coming, that Sunshine would as well. It seemed weird--Sunshine seemed to get an even worse reaction when it played in California than Faith did--from audiences and critics, and I assumed much more work was yet to be done. I don't know if Faith's reception on Broadway played a part, but I can only assume they are planning on doing more work on it first.

ILuv2shop531, in the interest of full disclosure, I think Jennifer Laura Thompson was also trying to diplomatically allude to her not being involved with the show anymore as much as she was speaking of the show's life in general. Sherie Rene Scott did the workshop at Sundance and then did the reading they had after the La Jolla production, so had it come in, it would have been with her, not Thompson.
As others have said, though, the project appears pretty dead. They were offered a theater for this past season in the spring and couldn't raise the money to make it happen, so as far as I know, everyone involved (from cast to creatives) has moved on.

Posted: 7/15/12 at 3:16pmTo say the show was a mess in La Jolla is being really generous. I saw it in previews two nights before it was "locked down" for the run...was at a reception before the show (a friend's company is a big sponsor)...the Managing Director of the LJ Playhouse announced we were very lucky because "you're the first ones to get to see a new finale. We just put it in at 11am this morning." He went on to say they had just axed two numbers in that day's rehearsals as well, so if timing seemed a bit off the actors had incorporated an unusual amount of changes that particular day and never performed "this version of the show before." FTR, the changes didn't help...the show sucked. Badly.
